I love beer. I love drinking it & I love making it. I even enjoy just looking at beer labels. I say this because over the holiday I was fortunate enough to do two things ~
First was smoking grain for Wheelhouse Brewing. TCP has used Wheelhouse beers in our cooking numerous times, but this was the 1st time we were able to put our cooking into their beer. This collaboration has been planned since summer & we were able to accomplish this unique smoking during Boxing Day.
Second was two days later which I spent making beer in Valemount at Three Ranges Brewing. Well … I didn’t do too much other than stirring & mixing … but I did bring barbeque for lunch. What made this brewery visit so special was that beer is for Kiwanis AleFest.
Yep, you’ll be drinking beer I helped brew 🙂
When can you try these beers?
Last weekend of January. 26-28th
And it all begins Thursday night with Beer Lovers Night @ The Copper Pig Bbq House
What is ‘Beer Lovers Night’?
We hold this celebration every year on the eve of the Kiwanis AleFest. We originally envisioned Beer Lovers Night as the brew masters socializing before the festival – But it quickly turned into a packed house from all the breweries, Kiwanis organizers, plus event volunteers, ticket holders & all our friends. A full house of good people eating good food & drinking good beer.
So consider this your open invitation to join us Thursday Jan 26th at TCP.
We will have a pub style Farm-to-Fork menu featuring local farms and gardens, plus plenty of local fresh beers. Including your 1st chance to meet the group from Trench Brewing and try some of their beer.
