Wow times flies. Clocks are moving forward and spring is about to arrive … well … eventually … it has to right?
Spring always brings a feeling of optimism & new beginnings. Spring in Prince George brings us new offerings from our local farms. Spring also brings us lighter, fresher beers from BC breweries.
So The Copper Pig Bbq House is getting in the spirit with a few fun events for March and April.
Since March brings us St Patrick’s Day, we are hosting an Irish communal lunch at TCP.
Friday March 17th at noon.
Our culinary team has designed an Irish-inspired menu highlighting locally sourced beef, lamb and potatoes. All to be served family-style at our social table. Also, if you have not tried our smoked beef ribs, you need to come and find out what all the fuss is about.
This Farm-to-Fork lunch is posted on our Facebook events page.
For Friday & Saturday night we created a St.Patrick’s Farm-to-Fork sheet that will feature fun Irish pub fare. Including a locally sourced grass fed beef brisket to make our own Irish corned beef. Plus we’re making Scotch eggs. Plus lamb stew. Plus pickled green cabbage. Plus soda bread. #plusplusplus
There is no cover charge either night & reservations are recommended.
We will also be serving Crossroads Brewing that night!
Yes, our neighbours a block down the street are brewing beer and they are almost ready to open. And TCP is fortunate enough to be the 1st to pour their beer downtown. Patrick and the team brewed a special cask of Willamette hopped stout which we will tapping early Friday for St. Patrick’s.
Two weeks afterwards we will host our 2nd Farm-to-Fork event for spring.
An “April Fools Social Dinner” – Saturday April 1st
Again our culinary team is featuring locally sourced ingredients from within an hour’s drive of the restaurant & have put together a one time only, April Fools themed menu. Our chefs are using surprizing cooking techniques to create the unexpected from something you would not expect. Items such as honey caviar or a fried chicken dessert.
This truly unique social dining experience will also be served at our social table and served family-style on platters, trays & wooden boards. Our communal table has 16 spaces, so call early to book your seat(s).
We will add this dinner to our Facebook events page shortly after St Patrick’s day.
And # fourthly … for the grand finale … on April 3rd The Copper Pig Bbq House will be launching our new spring beverage menu. Including new vodka infusions, fresh watermelon mojitos, Cuban drinks, and more prohibition cocktails. All made from behind our Whisk(e)y Bar
And more BC craft beer.
Including 26 new beers from 18 new BC breweries – such as Tofino Brewing, Saltspring Ales, Dogwood Brewing & Strange Fellows. Our new beer listings will be posted in April.
We hope you can attend one of these fun events, whether it is a social lunch, a cask opening, or an April Fool’s dinner. We are promising a unique experience downtown.
… The new booming downtown.
